Regulated Utilities

Legislation modifying Title 26, Chapter I, Subchapter VII-A removed basic telephone services from the regulatory oversight of the Public Service Commission effective July 1, 2013, except in locations where there is no alternative provider (this includes cable/voice over internet protocol, wireline, or wireless). This means that in most cases neither the PSC nor the DPA will be able to address customer concerns related to billing, rates, or service quality matters
