Speakers’ Bureau

Connecting with the consumers we represent is a key goal of the Division of the Public Advocate (DPA). We are committed to helping individuals understand their rights and responsibilities as customers of a regulated utility, to better understand the regulatory process, and to become more familiar with our agency.

The DPA has an active “Speakers’ Bureau” where someone from the DPA can travel to any location within Delaware, during daytime or evening hours, to make a presentation to your group on a variety of topics and answer questions. There is no charge for this service, and we are happy to work with your group in developing a customized presentation to meet the needs of your organization. Depending upon the topic or issue, we may also be able to help arrange participation from utility representatives or other state agencies.

Community groups, civic associations, fraternal groups, and charitable organizations are encouraged to take advantage of the Speakers’ Bureau. Understanding utility services, the price paid for those services, and the changing environment of utility regulation is important for all consumers. For additional information, or to schedule a speaker for your upcoming event, please contact Kishon Williams at (302) 577-5077 or send an e-mail request.
