Governor Carney signs SJR 2

Posted on July 7, 2017

On June 29, 2017, Governor Carney signed Senate Joint Resolution 2 – URGING THE FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION TO ACCEPT EITHER OF PJM INTERCONNECTION, L.L.C.’S ALTERNATIVE METHODOLOGIES FOR ALLOCATING THE COST OF THE ARTIFICIAL ISLAND PROJECT AS RECOMMENDED BY GOVERNOR CARNEY AND GOVERNOR HOGAN. We want to thank Governor Carney and the General Assembly for this resolution as we continue to advocate for a more reasonable allocation of the Artificial Island project. One that would not cost Delaware ratepayers $2-$4 per month over the next 40 years. With PJM’s alternative methodologies, we will now work with FERC asking that they accept either new alternative methodology instead of the current solution-based distribution factor (SBDFAX) approach.
