On November 12, 2020, during their virtual annual meeting, the members of the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates (NASUCA) elected their 2021 Officers and Executive Committee. Among those elected to serve on the Executive Committee was the Delaware Public Advocate. This is his second term.
This is an important position as NASUCA is represented by 55 consumer advocated in 43 states and the District of Columbia, Barbados, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. This committee helps to set policy for the year ahead. To learn more about NASUCA, their policies, and resolutions, visit http://www.nasuca.org.
The DPA was created in 1978 after steadily increasing electricity rates. This is the first time the Public Advocate for Delaware has served on the Executive Committee of NASUCA.
