On June 1, 2017, the Public Service Commission approved the Standard Offer Service (SOS) residential rates for Delmarva Power. These rates, which are set by the market, decreased 4.5 percent and residential customers who use an average of 966 kilowatt hours (kWh) per month on average will see a summer savings of about $6.76 and total monthly savings of $6.11. This is the lowest SOS rate in six years mainly due to low wholesale power prices and natural gas prices.
